Dave’s niece Michelle married on June 17. We decided to fly to Dallas and drive to Ft. Worth for the wedding.
We flew out on Friday morning and met up with our friend Jim who used to work for Corporate Express/Staples. He has since retired and is living the life of leisure with his wife Sharon in Dallas. We met him for lunch at Nick & Sam’s Grill.
Afterward we drove to Ft. Worth and checked in to our hotel as the wedding was at 5:30 pm. We rushed to get ready and make the HOT walk from the hotel to the Bass Hall - Maddox Muse Center for the ceremony only to find out it didn’t really begin until 6:30 pm. We visited with Dave’s Mom and Dad, aunts and cousins and made our way into the Van Cliburn Studio for the ceremony. Afterward she had the reception in the same building and it was a lovely fajita buffet dinner with mariachis, cake cuttings and dancing.

On Saturday morning we went over to Dave’s brother Mike’s house for an afternoon of swimming and visiting with family. Michelle and her new husband Brandon had a flight out at 5 am so they had already departed.
After our afternoon we made our way back to the hotel to shower and get ready for dinner with some dear friends Mike & Kelli who live in the Colony. We spent the evening at their home have an outstanding homemade dinner and great wines then made our way back to the hotel to depart for San Antonio the very next day.
