City view of Shanghai, China

Dave and I returned late Sunday evening, May 20th. So late it was early Monday morning! Our trip was an incredible experience and we were so fortunate to partake in traveling to China as we had done so almost two years ago.
Our trip this time was very different from the last. First, we stayed in one city the entire time. Second; we stayed in the same hotel the entire time; which by the way was a Hilton hotel and our experience was very Westernized. Two years ago our travels took us to multiple cities, rural outlining cities and native accommodations, food and toilets.
The Chinese are very industrial people; however they still rely heavily upon the usage of coal. There is a lot of pollution in Shanghai as well as people. Two years ago spitting was very prevalent and they Government has assisted in decreasing the amount of spitting. Beijing is the host city for the Olympics in 2008 and people are being taught the niceties of other cultures i.e. spitting, cutting in line and aggressive behavior. As an American, we tend to assume that they are rude and aggressive; however we must realize that there are so many of them. If they're aren't aggressive in driving, our queuing up for lines they won't ever get anywhere!
Everything we saw was fascinating including the city skyline, factory tours, trade shows, museums, even the road construction workers. Check out how they wear orange and yellow!
