Vancouver, British Columbia

Well readers; we made it! We traversed the Canadian Rockies and beautiful countryside via GREYHOUND and arrived to Vancouver at 10:00 pm last evening. What a way to travel. Probably not my first recommendation but as Dave and I are always the adventurous couple; frugal too, we decided to bus it from Calgary to Vancouver. Let's just say that there are pretty colorful folks who ride the bus and we'll leave it at that. We'll make you laugh when we recount our day to you in person; those of you wanting to know the ins and outs of it all!

Today we awoke to rain! It's been beautiful weather in Vancouver and today it rained. It didn't stop us from golfing though. Dave has vendors in Vancouver he's visiting with this week and they were gracious enough to host us today for a round of golf at the Northland Golf Course in Northern Vancouver; roughly 15 minutes from our hotel. What a superior view of wildlife, trees and natural waterfalls. It was pristine. We saw deer on the course but unfortunately (and probably MOST fortunately) no bears. The berries are starting to sprout and we were told that the bears would be grazing soon enough.

Plans for the remainder of the day is to attend a meet and greet for my conference as well as a welcome reception. Tomorrow and Tuesday is all business but the conference ends at 1:00 pm on Tuesday and we hope to have something exciting lined up to do. Thanks Molly for the tip on the Museum of Anthropology! If we get over there I'll be sure to blog about it.

Also; be sure to check back in after I've been able to load more photos. Pin It Now!

I'm glad you got to golf, at least it isn't 98 degrees there! Can't wait to hear about the bus riders! M.J.and I are protecting your Packrat cards!
