Pasadena, CA

Greetings faithful readers! Today's blog is from the beautiful state of California as we are currently in Pasadena. We are here to be entertained by my nephew Matthew as he completes his finale participation of performing with the Boston Crusaders Drum Corp. The DCI (Drum Corp Intl) http://www.dci.org/ has their championship performance of the year at the Rose Bowl! Matthew's final performance is his "age out" as 22 years is the oldest a performer may be. 22? Can you believe that? He is the granddaddy of his peers; too funny!

I also have family in CA as my sister Tracie and her husband Jim and two kids Jordan and Gillian live in San Jose. I also have an aunt and uncle and numerous cousins that live out here so we are also having a mini family reunion. Matthew's brother David has also flown out here as well so the whole gang is here.

Yesterday we spent the day at Disneyland and California Adventure Theme Park. We spent hours waiting in lines for rides and after final calculations we figured we rode approximately 6 rides out of a 12-hour day! All rides were labeled with their wait times some up to 2 hours; it was crazy! Here are some shots from yesterday.

Check back again to see how Matthew's corp performs and read of our other adventures. In the words of Eeyore from Winnie The Pooh; "TTFN!" Ta ta for now...
